Referees:
- The league needs more referees.
- At the moment the league only has 18 committed referees.
- Referees are paid $20 per game and are required to be 12 years of age or older.
- Certification and re-certification costs are reimbursed by the league.
- The re-certification class was held in Los Alamos the prior weekend, those that attended are certified for the rest of 2018 and all of 2019.
- The next referee clinic will be held in February.
Recruiting ideas; Los Alamos Daily Post, LANL postdoc, international e-mail distribution Equipment: We are well stocked for the season. Ideas for rental of fold-out portable benches and pop-up canopies for tournaments.
Volunteer funding opportunities: LANL has a matching program for volunteers…can we get more information on this program and pass the word along.

Homecoming parade: We will need to obtain a permit for a float. Ideas are to ask the high school boys and girls teams to see if we may be able to participate in their floats. If we do an independent LAYSL float, we are trying to track down a trailer, etc. Volunteers needed to assist with children that are walking in the parade.
Check status of North Mesa fields, are they all lined? Pre-competitive games will be held on North Mesa fields.
Recreational/Development start date: Board believes it will be 9/10 9/7 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm on Barranca Mesa field recreational coach meeting to pick up equipment, distribution of information, practice drill ideas, etc. (refreshments will be provided)
