Field scheduling will be turned in a summary format vs. an excel spreadsheet. The plan is to state the planned schedule for which fields will be needed and when. Nets are constantly being cut down by residents to protect the wildlife. They are seeing this occurring quite a bit in Western area and it has been quite costly to the county. The county requires work credits/volunteer hours based on the field usage. Once the season is complete you have 45 days to send in your work credits. There are fees for using the field and volunteer credits are used against those fees.
A flyer will go out in 4-5 weeks to solicit for volunteers to help at the rodeo. Any volunteer hours in the county can go against the LAYSL volunteer hour requirements. They are soliciting for fencing quotes to be placed at Overlook fields. The cost is predicted to be about $58-$75K to replace and extend the height of the fences to about 12 feet. Fill dirt from Urban Park is being placed at Overlook park to function as new topsoil. The new goal sets have been placed at the Overlook park fields. County is looking at replacing goal sets annually with an investment of about $12K.
