Good Afternoon Everyone,

As we are preparing our calendars for 2022.  See below for reminders of upcoming and new events taking place.  Grassroots Coaching Courses start next weekend.  Let me know if you have any questions.

  • TOPSoccer Symposium Hosted by NMYSA (New)

Coaching Education

  • Grassroots Licenses 29 January (Albuquerque) Register 9v9 or Register 11v11 (10:00am – 3:00pm)
  • Grassroots Licenses 30 January (Las Cruces) Register 9v9 or Register 11v11   (10:00am – 3:00pm)
  • USSF D Blended License Course (Registration) (Blended Virtual Meetings Wednesdays 7:00 pm) Starts 2 February and finishes 27 April with the 1-day in-person field Saturday 23 April
  • USSF Blended C License Course (Starts 7 March and finishes 25 July)  Registration Link  (Only a few spots left)
  • If you would like to host a Grassroots or D License Course or Coach for Community let me know

Coach for Community

  • Free US Soccer Program (Contact Rick if you are interested in Hosting at your location)
  • All Coaches who register will be provided with a code for a Free US Soccer License Course (7v7, 9v9, 11v11)
  • C4C is scheduled for 19 February in Albuquerque to start at 11:00 and registration will be open soon (Register)
  • If you have not created a profile and done the Free 20 minute Course (Link) 
  • Need to follow the steps above if wanting to register for any of the above events
  • This program is focused on providing coaching education resources. The goal is to connect member associations with local soccer leaders to help create better player environments, which will increase player participation as well as retain players and coaches.
  • Classroom 1.5 Hours and Field 1 hour

YOP (Young Olympians Program) Registration Opening Soon

  • 6 Dates with 2 Sessions at each Location (Sundays)
  • We will have a GK Coach
  • Ages 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
  • $40.00 for each Sunday attending and need to register for each specific location
  • March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 10, 17
  • Locations: Roswell, Albuquerque (2), Las Cruces, Farmington, Santa Fe

Futsal State Cup

  • Registration is open for the first-ever Futsal State Cup
  • We will be crowning the first-ever State Champions for Event
  • Age groups are U9-U14 Boys and Girls Teams
  • Teams can be existing teams or they can be a team put together just for this event
  • Don’t Miss Out!  Registration for the event is closing soon!

TOPSoccer Symposium

  • Coaching Children With Disabilities
  • Save the Date! Please join us for the 2022 West and Midwest Region USYS TOPSoccer Symposium hosted by New Mexico Youth Soccer Association, April 1-3, 2022, in Santa Ana, (Albuquerque), New Mexico.  This year’s symposium will be held at the beautiful Tamaya Resort and Hotel located 20 minutes North of Albuquerque.

NMYSA Coaching Staff   

  • Wanting to be part of YOP or ODP Staff
  • Could get involved in the program to be mentored to be involved
  • If want to be part of the Staff need to have a USSF D License Minimum
